{Video} Indiana District 93 Representative Dave Frizzell Discusses Elimination of Inheritance Tax and Other Tax Cuts

I recently had the opportunity to meet with our Indiana District 93 Representative, Dave Frizzell, and learn about his work in health care and with senior citizens. We had a great conversation, especially when he learned of my work as a REALTOR who helps senior citizens transition into the next phase of their life.

I recorded this short video with him where he discusses budget cuts in the state of Indiana and his passion for long term care and helping senior citizens in Perry Township, Indianapolis, and all across the state.

Dave is such a nice guy and very down-to-earth. His chief interest is helping people, and that became very obvious during our chat. Dave was a sponsor in the 28th Annual Kiwanis of Perry Township Fish Fry and we thank him for his participation in Kiwanis and, of course, for his donations!

{Infographic} Indianapolis, Indiana: Fannie Mae Housing Forecast 2013-2014

Fannie Mae recently released their anticipated housing forecast for Indianapolis, Indiana and the entire U.S. This 12-month forecast ranges from August of 2013 through August of 2014 and shows a robust home sales outlook over the next year. It also includes a look at the previous 12 months of action, back to the third quarter of 2012.

The number of homes sold will increase nicely and the average price of those homes will also rise. However, mortgage rates will also jump significantly.

So if you've been considering selling your Indiana house, now would clearly be the time to begin heavily investigating the possibility of such and finding the right REALTOR for your needs.

At the same time, if you've been considering buying an Indianapolis-area house, now is the time to do so before the mortgage rates move even higher.

Whether you're a buyer or seller, my team of Indy Real Estate Experts stand ready to help. Contact me for a no-obligation discussion of your situation. I'll provide a free market analysis and happily offer advice!

{Video} New Purse/Bag Security Policy for Indianapolis Colts Games

What are your thoughts on the new NFL policy for the 2013-14 season that limits the size and types of bags that may be brought into Lucas Oil Stadium for an Indianapolis Colts game?

Of course, the security change is intended to keep us all safe - and that's a good thing. But what can a fan really take in?

Thankfully the new guidelines make it relatively easy to still lug all of your necessary items along to the game...just bring a clear, plastic bag (even a large freezer bag is fine) or purchase a similar clear bag at the stadium gift shops or online.

If you're bringing bags from home, just make sure you adhere to the size guidelines. Here are the basics on what you can bring to a Colts game:

One bag that is clear plastic, vinyl or PVC that does not exceed 12” by 6” by 12”  OR
A one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).

And here's a little fun...the protest is underway! Join the My Purse. My Choice Movement:)
