A contingent of members from Bridgeway Community Church in Fishers is headed to southern Indiana to help rebuild a town devastated by the outbreak of tornadoes recently in that region of our state.

The volunteers will leave Indianapolis this Saturday, April 28 and work in cooperation with Pastor Rich Cheek of Henryville Community Church. "We are scheduling teams for the next 120 days. If you would like to do so beyond that, we need you. Please come," says Pastor Cheek.
Anyone who wishes to volunteer their time toward the effort is welcome to accompany the Bridgeway group and donations of tools for the rebuilding, in addition to supplies for the citizens, are both necessary and appreciated. Contact Craig or Amber Twibell at catwibell@yahoo.com

The project will center on the tearing down of multiple houses, unloading and loading trucks at the lumberyard or warehouse, removing debris, cutting trees, re-roofing, sorting clothes, washing clothes, cooking for the community and delivering food.

New 2012 Statistics Show Indianapolis Homes for Sale Increasing in Price and Selling Quickly

If you're looking for Indianapolis homes for sale, or selling a home in Indianapolis, I have excellent news; your timing could not be better! Recent media reports have detailed how the Indianapolis real estate market is rebounding quickly, with Indianpolis homes for sale moving - and selling - at a brisk pace.

Watch Fox 59's Video Report on Indy Real Estate

Just as impressive are a slew of statistics released by MIBOR (Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors) that show in real numbers the growth of real estate transactions.

The year 2012 began with a huge spurt as Pending Sales for the quarter were up 16% and both Closed and Pending Sales showed double-digit growth in February. To further brighten the scene, home sale prices showed 1.2% growth in February alone, while the three month quarter (which ended in February) increased 2.2%.

So what does this mean for Indianapolis area homeowners, buyers and sellers? It means that the return of a quality Indy real estate market is well underway.

Buyers are discovering that no longer can they wait to make an offer on a home that appeals to them. Time after time, those that are slow to act find the home swept away from them.

And sellers can once again offer their homes for sale, confident in the knowledge that prices are on the rise and buyers are ready to act.

My name is Lisa Parrett, the Team OWner and Listing Expert at Indy Real Estate Experts of Keller Williams Realty. Whether you're buying or selling a home - or both - my team can help.
