A contingent of members from Bridgeway Community Church in Fishers is headed to southern Indiana to help rebuild a town devastated by the outbreak of tornadoes recently in that region of our state.
The volunteers will leave Indianapolis this Saturday, April 28 and work in cooperation with Pastor Rich Cheek of Henryville Community Church. "We are scheduling teams for the next 120 days. If you would like to do so beyond that, we need you. Please come," says Pastor Cheek.
Anyone who wishes to volunteer their time toward the effort is welcome to accompany the Bridgeway group and donations of tools for the rebuilding, in addition to supplies for the citizens, are both necessary and appreciated. Contact Craig or Amber Twibell at catwibell@yahoo.com
The project will center on the tearing down of multiple houses, unloading and loading trucks at the lumberyard or warehouse, removing debris, cutting trees, re-roofing, sorting clothes, washing clothes, cooking for the community and delivering food.
